- Diarrhea: Abnormally frequent intestinal evacuations with more or less fluid stools
- Nausea: A stomach distress with distaste for food and an urge to vomit
- Vomiting: To disgorge the contents of the stomach through the mouth
- Stomatitis: Any of numerous inflammatory diseases of the mouth
- Hand-and-Foot Syndrome: Pain, swelling or redness in your hands or feet
Grade 1:
Mild redness, swelling, or altered sensations (eg, tingling or burning) are
present but do not interfere with activities of daily living.
Grade 2:
Hands or feet are painful, making daily activities more difficult. Skin
surface remains intact.
Grade 3:
Pain is severe, making walking or using hands difficult.
Fever Pain: Discomfort arising from a rise of body temperature above the normal.
Your doctor will then measure a tumor in centimeters. Tumor size is one of the factors used to decide which stage of cancer you have. In
most cases, a surgeon will remove the tumor and an extra area of tissue around it. The tissue around the edge of the tumor is called the
margin of resection. The pathologist will measure how close to the outer edges of the tissue the cancer cells are found.
